Building on a successful debut last year, the East Coast Greenway Alliance and ride production partners Global Impact Productions have been hard at work to take this year’s New York City-to-Philadelphia Greenway Ride to the next level.
We’ve added some new features that return riders and first-time participants will no doubt love - register today!
New finish location: This year’s ride will finish at Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing on the Delaware River in Center City Philadelphia. With up-close views of the iconic Ben Franklin Bridge and within walking distance of Penn's Landing, this location will allow for riders to experience more of the city’s East Coast Greenway network, in particular the rapidly developing Delaware River Trail.
Go for the gold (or silver or bronze): For the first time, all participants will receive a specially designed two-sided finisher’s medal featuring a custom design and recycled bicycle components.
Cheesecake to cheesesteak: In 2022, it won’t just be a tagline! In addition to the outstanding food and drinks available at the start, finish and oasis rest stops, we plan to offer New York cheesecake at the start of the ride at Liberty State Park, and Philly cheesesteaks at the finish. Come hungry and ready to ride.
New oasis on day two: Ride back in time! This year’s ride will feature a history-making oasis on day two, the 1719 William Trent House, which is the oldest building in Trenton, New Jersey. This stop will be the first opportunity to refuel as you pedal to Philadelphia from Princeton.
Look good while supporting the ride: Once again, we have limited-edition NYC-to-PHL Greenway Ride jerseys, jackets and socks from Primal Wear available for pre-order with any remaining items for sale on-site. New for 2022, water bottles from Specialized and performance T-shirts from CRAFT also will be available. All participants will receive an event T-shirt at the finish, featuring two icons of New York City and Philadelphia, Lady Liberty and the Rocky statue.
Ready to ride in support of continued East Coast Greenway development in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania? We encourage you to register today as spots are limited and filling fast!
