Our team helps communities secure funding, shares trail-building expertise and connects efforts across city, county and state lines — turning bold visions into completed Greenway miles.

New England Projects
Capital Region East Coast Greenway Study
The Capitol Region East Coast Greenway Study will result in the preferred alignment of the last remaining 12-mile gap of the East Coast Greenway in Simsbury, Bloomfield, Hartford and East Hartford, Connecticut.

Border to Boston Trail
The Border to Boston Trail is a partially complete and envisioned 70-mile segment of the East Coast Greenway that will link 20 communities from Boston north to the New Hampshire border.

Metropolitan Branch Trail East Extension
The Metropolitan Branch Trail East Extension will close a major gap in the East Coast Greenway complementary route in Washington, D.C.

This project will transform PA Route 291 / US 13 – Industrial Highway back into a safer, more welcoming gateway to the City of Chester.

This project will fill one of the last major Greenway gaps in Delaware, linking the Northern Delaware Greenway with the Claymont Station Trail.

By creating a safe, all-ages-and-all-abilities crossing for people biking and walking, this project will create critical access and a regional destination for residents and visitors of Havre de Grace and Perryville, Northeast Maryland and beyond.

Southeast Projects
The Underline
The Underline is a 10-mile linear park and urban trail running along and below the existing Metrorail guideway, from the Miami River to the Dadeland South Metrorail Station. The Underline is a public-private partnership between the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works and Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, Friends of the Underline, City of Miami and City of Coral Gables.

Jupiter Inlet Bridge & Riverwalk
A new half-mile pedestrian path on the U.S. Highway 1 bridge and its future connection to the Jupiter Riverwalk are key upgrades to Florida’s East Coast Greenway.

Tabby Trail
The St. Marys Tabby Trail will link historic downtown St. Marys with the Kings Bay Naval Base and Crooked River State Park, providing access to nature and local historical sites like the McIntosh Sugar Mill Ruins.

The Ashley River Crossing will link the downtown Charleston peninsula with the West Ashley Greenway, eliminating one of the most dangerous bridge crossings on the entire East Coast Greenway route.

The Durham-to-Roxboro Rail Trail will be a vibrant 26-mile multi-use trail for bicyclists, pedestrians and other active transportation uses.

Fall Line
The Fall Line will form the spine of the East Coast Greenway through the Richmond, Virginia, metropolitan area, connecting the town of Ashland to the city of Petersburg. This 43-mile trail traverses seven localities in a region of 1.3 million people.
