Join the East Coast Greenway Alliance and Trust for Public Land for an out-and-back group ride on the Air Line State Park Trail, a favorite segment of Connecticut’s East Coast Greenway. We’ll start at the Jillson House Museum in Willimantic and ride at your own pace, choosing the distance that works best for you.

Options include:
  • 10 miles one way to Goodwin State Park (20 miles round trip)
  • 20 miles one way to Pomfret (40 miles round trip)

Ride Details

Riders will explore the area’s many historic and geological sites as a group or at their own convenience. Whether you’re in for a short spin or the full adventure, come enjoy a scenic, social ride on one of Connecticut’s greatest trails! Registered participants will receive a map with hidden gems of the Air Line State Park Trail and can choose to ride with the group leader or can go at their own pace and distance! Please note that this is an out-and-back ride with the start and finish at the Jillson House Museum.

  • Support & Amenities: Staff stationed along the entire route; SAG support available; restroom, water and snack stops at suggested turnaround locations
  • Cost: $30 (All ride proceeds go to the East Coast Greenway Alliance and Trust for Public Land)
  • Check-In & Registration: 7:30-8:30 AM
  • Welcome & Ride Information: 8:45 AM
  • Ride Start: Casual ride begins 9 AM
  • Ride Finish: Event support ends at 4 PM
  • Start & Finish Location: Jillson House Museum
  • Parking: Free parking available at the museum (627 Main Street, Willimantic, CT 06226)
  • Weather Policy: Ride takes place rain or shine
  • Helmet Requirement: Helmets are required for all riders
  • Trail Surface: Crushed stone dust gravel trails
  • Bike Recommendation: Bikes with wider tires recommended
