Our History
Turning Vision into Reality
Founded in November 1991, the East Coast Greenway Alliance has turned a bold vision into reality, driving remarkable progress through strong partnerships and growing public awareness. What began as a dream now includes more than 1,000 miles of safe, protected pathways and welcomes over 50 million visits each year, making the East Coast Greenway the most visited park in America as it celebrates more than 30 years of impact.
