New Hampshire Seacoast Greenway Advisory Committee
The Committee consists of volunteers who coordinate route selection and undertake our advocacy efforts to move the Greenway ahead in New Hampshire. By building support and partnerships with citizens, public agencies, and organizations at the local and state levels, the Committee is helping to get the route on the ground, one step at a time.
The NH Seacoast Greenway Advisory Committee doubles as the the NH State Committee for the East Coast Greenway. It is composed of representatives from each town along the seacoast and other pertinent partners.

Partnerships lead to signage postings in New Hampshire
Special signs for marking the interim on-road ECG route through New Hampshire were installed by NHDOT in 2008. The sign shows that the route has three identities: (1) NH Secoast Greenway, (2) East Coast Greenway, and (3) official state bicycle route. The entire route, from Maine to Massachusetts is marked. Special thanks to the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Seacoast Area Bicycle Routes, and the Rockingham Planning Commission, without whom none of this would have been possible.

Current goals in New Hampshire include:
- Funding the planning of the rail-trail from Seabrook to Hampton
- Install two kiosks along the route
The New Hampshire Committee consists of volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to advocate for the creation of a local off-road route. Please help the Committee create the ECG in NH by volunteering your time, becoming a member, or sponsoring a mile of trail.
Recent accomplishments in New Hampshire include:
- The interim on-road route was marked with ECG signage by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation
- A coalition was formed to support ECG trail development
The NH Committee currently needs volunteers to:
- Join the state committee
- Advocate for the ECG at public events
- Contact elected officials asking them to support the ECG
Sponsor a Mile of the ECG in New Hampshire
Mile sponsors will have their inscriptions posted on our website, and eventually in a kiosk along the route in New Hampshire. Learn more.
