What was the ECG Wave?

The East Coast Greenway Wave was a relay event which ferried a bottle of water from the Gulf of Mexico by non-motorized means up the eastern seaboard to the Canadian maritimes. This event was conducted for several reasons: to celebrate the East Coast Greenway's selection as a National Millennium Trail, to celebrate the construction of off-road multi-use trail along our route, to promote the creation of more trail, to alert people to our cause, and to get more people interested in muscle-powered recreation. This event was made possible by a grant from American Express Company and, in New England, with the generosity of PG&E Generating.
