Communications Intern

Position Description:  The East Coast Greenway Alliance seeks a part-time (15 - 20 hours) Communications Intern to join its Wakefield staff.  This position carries primary responsibility at the national level for all promotional, communications, media relations, and marketing activities of the Alliance.  He/she will report to the Executive Director and work in close collaboration with the Trail Program staff and our volunteer state committees.

Chief responsibilities:
Edit, format, and produce ECGA publications and written materials
1.    Electronic newsletters produced in Dreamweaver
2.    Update brochures, rack cards, and other informational materials, as needed
Media relations
1.    Develop press releases when needed
2.    Serve as point person for media inquiries for information and photographs
3.    Maintain photographic library
Materials
1.    Coordinate development of displays and other materials for meetings/events
2.    Update promotional materials, as needed

Hours

Fifteen to twenty hours a week

Work Location

Primarily Wakefield RI office, but could work remotely via electronic transfer of information.

Compensation

Unpaid internship, thus carrying no benefits.
